We are excited to announce AFP Ottawa Chapter Fundraising Day 2024 is to take place in-person on May 1, 2024, at the Shaw Centre in Ottawa. This year’s theme is Diversify: Unveiling the Power of Inclusive Fundraising.

While the 21st century has brought us significant progress and changes in fundraising practices due to technological advancements and shifts in social and economic landscapes, it has also brought to the forefront long existing challenges that impact the way we represent, advocate, and serve our communities. And that is, Diversity!

So how do we embrace diversity in a way will strengthen the non-profit sector and help all the communities thrive? To tackle these challenges, the non-profit and charitable sector will need to actively reflect and enhance practices that strengthen representation and leadership, donor diversity, inclusive fundraising practices, access to resources, and inclusive organizational cultures that elevate organizations and communities.
