From inspiring conferences to vibrant cultural celebrations, 2025 was a remarkable year at the Rogers Centre Ottawa. Our spaces once again served as a gathering place for communities, innovators, performers, and leaders from every corner of Canada and beyond. As we look back, we are proud to highlight some of the most memorable events that helped shape an extraordinary year.

Aqsarniit Trade Show & Conference

February 17–20, 2025

The year began with an extraordinary celebration of Northern culture and commerce as we welcomed the Aqsarniit Trade Show & Conference. Over several days, the venue came alive with exhibitors, artists, business leaders, and community representatives from across Inuit Nunangat and southern Canada. With more than 150 exhibitors and a powerful cultural program, the event fostered meaningful relationships and showcased the strength, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit of northern communities. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of collaboration and cultural exchange, and it was an inspiring start to our year. 

A New Kind of Prom 2025

June 2, 2025

Among the most heartwarming events of the year, A New Kind of Prom offered an inclusive and unforgettable celebration for individuals of all abilities. The venue was beautifully decorated as guests enjoyed music, dancing, and joyful connection in a welcoming, barrier-free environment. This event embodied what we strive for at Rogers Centre Ottawacreating spaces where people feel valued, celebrated, and part of something special. 

ScotDance Canada Championship Series 2025

July 5–9, 2025

This summer, the Centre was transformed into a vibrant celebration of culture and athleticism as we hosted the ScotDance Canada Championship Series. More than 1,000 dancers from across Canada and around the world took the stage, filling our halls with energy, colour, and tradition. From the competitions to the gala banquet and vendor marketplace, every moment highlighted the dedication and passion of the Scottish dance community. It was an event full of artistry, unity, and memorable performances that brought families and spectators together in a grand celebration of heritage.

In addition to conferences and cultural gatherings, 2025 was also a beautiful year for love at Rogers Centre Ottawa. We were honoured to host a series of unforgettable weddings, each unique, each joyful, and each transformed by the creativity of the couples who celebrated with us. 

Our versatile ballrooms and light-filled spaces provided the perfect backdrop for ceremonies, receptions, photo sessions, and heartfelt moments shared among families and friends. Whether intimate or grand, traditional or modern, every celebration showcased the Centre’s ability to adapt to each couple’s vision. 

From stunning décor and personalized setups to seamless coordination behind the scenes, weddings this year highlighted the magic that happens when love, community, and exceptional hospitality come together under one roof.

WAVES 2025: Global Indigenous Languages Summit

August 11–14, 2025

One of the year’s most significant gatherings, WAVES 2025 brought together Elders, Knowledge Keepers, youth, artists, educators, and language champions from across Turtle Island and beyond. Through powerful sessions, performances, and storytelling, the summit explored themes of Land & Language, Technology & Language, and Community & Language. Hosting this event was a great honour for Rogers Centre Ottawa. The conversations and connections that took place within our walls underscored the importance of Indigenous language revitalization and the resilience of communities working to protect and celebrate their linguistic heritage.

Mortgage Professionals Conference 2025

October 15–17, 2025

This fall, we welcomed mortgage professionals from across Canada for a dynamic three-day conference focused on industry trends, professional development, and networking opportunities. Attendees engaged in insightful workshops, thought-provoking panel discussions, and interactive sessions designed to share best practices and innovative strategies. The event highlighted the Centre’s ability to host large-scale professional gatherings while fostering collaboration, learning, and meaningful connections across the mortgage industry. 

World Trivia Night 2025

November 28, 2025

Laughter, friendly competition, and community spirit filled the Centre once again during World Trivia Night, one of Ottawa’s most beloved fundraising events. Teams battled through challenging questions in hopes of claiming the coveted title, all while supporting an important cause which helped raise over $128,000! The event brought together participants of all ages and backgrounds, showcasing how powerful and joyful community gatherings can be. It was an evening full of energy and shared excitement.

Ottawa Career Fair Canada 2025

Various Dates in 2025

Throughout the year, Rogers Centre Ottawa welcomed employers, recruiters, and job seekers for multiple editions of the Ottawa Career Fair. These events connected thousands of individuals with new opportunities and career paths. The fairs provided an accessible, welcoming environment where professionals from all backgrounds could meet, network, and explore their next steps. It was a meaningful contribution to workforce development across the region.

AFN – Special Chiefs Assembly

December 2–4, 2025

The year concluded with the honour of hosting the Assembly of First Nations Special Chiefs Assembly  a gathering that brought together Chiefs, Knowledge Keepers, youth, and community leaders from across the country. Over several days, delegates engaged in dialogue, resolutions, and strategic discussions focused on priorities impacting First Nations across Turtle Island. The atmosphere was one of unity, purpose, and leadership. Hosting this significant national assembly was a profound privilege for Rogers Centre Ottawa, and we were proud to provide a space where important decisions, relationships, and paths forward were shaped for the year ahead.

Choosing just a few highlights from the hundreds of incredible events we hosted this year is no easy task. Yet, as we reflect on a remarkable 2025 filled with inspiring, diverse, and meaningful moments, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who helped make it unforgettable. 

Looking ahead to 2026, we can’t wait to welcome more events that bring people together, spark creativity, and create lasting memories, continuing to make Rogers Centre Ottawa a place where celebrations, learning, and connection come to life.
