Ottawa Convention Centre Announces Newly Named Rogers Centre Ottawa

OTTAWA, October 23, 2024 – The Ottawa Convention Centre announced today a ten-year naming rights agreement with Rogers for the award-winning downtown venue, renamed Rogers Centre Ottawa effective today.

“We are excited to announce this incredible partnership with Rogers,” said Jim Armour, Chair of the Board for the Ottawa Convention Centre. “The renaming to Rogers Centre Ottawa marks a new chapter for our convention centre, one that will provide innovation and the delivery of exceptional events.”

“We’re thrilled to partner with an Ottawa institution and iconic part of the city skyline,” said Terrie Tweddle, Chief Brand and Communications Officer, Rogers. “Rogers Centre Ottawa will continue to be one of the most successful convention centres in the country, known as a premier gathering place for national and international events.”

“Today’s announcement of Rogers as our new naming rights partner is a significant milestone for the Ottawa Convention Centre,” said Nina Kressler, President and CEO of the Ottawa Convention Centre. “We are excited about the possibilities this partnership will bring, not only for our clients and guests but for the entire Ottawa community.”

The Rogers brand is now visible on Rogers Centre Ottawa’s website and digital assets. Internal and external signage will be updated over the coming months.

The Rogers Centre Ottawa, previously called Shaw Centre, will continue to use ‘Canada’s Meeting Place’ as its descriptor, and will continue to partner closely with Ottawa Tourism in all domestic and international marketing efforts to ensure the Centre is positioned as the premier meeting venue in Canada’s Capital.
