Highlights include Santa Paws pet photos, crafting workshops for kids and adults, and DJ Skate Nights on the Laiterie de l’Outaouais Skating Rink. Skate on Outdoor Rinks in Ottawa
The ByWard Market debuts its first synthetic ice rink on William Street this season, offering free skating daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with skate rentals available nearby. This unique rink is operable regardless of weather, adding a fun and accessible activity to the downtown area. For traditional skating experiences, Ottawa’s refrigerated outdoor rinks at Lansdowne Park, Ben Franklin Place, Canterbury Recreation Complex, and City Hall are set to open later this season, weather permitting. These rinks typically welcome skaters by late November or early December.
